What I know about my visitors

I use Squarespace Analytics to get basic information about:

  • My number of page views

  • Who is sending me traffic

  • Popular content

  • If someone is on desktop or mobile

  • What browser is being used

  • Where my visitors are based (country)

All of that information is anonymous.

What I know about my subscribers

I only collect an email address, which is stored in Squarespace.

In email marketing analytics, I have information about:

  • Who opens emails

  • What they read (click on)

  • Which country they are based in, according to their email provider

What I know about my customers

All products I sell online are handled through Squarespace (online shop provider) and Stripe (transaction platform). I don’t have access to your credit card number, but I can see:

  • How much you spent

  • the card’s registered address

  • the card’s expiry date

  • the card holder’s name

  • the type of card and the issuer

What do I do with all this data?

To be honest - not a lot 😅

I mainly check Squarespace Analytics to see which content is resonating with my audience. This helps me write stuff that people care about.

I never pass data to third parties.

What about information sent via email?

I use Gmail and keep all correspondence secure in the cloud. I will never share your contact details without your permission.

If you want to talk to me about my use of data

If you have any concerns, let me know. I will happily delete any information I hold on you.

I believe in transparency around my use of data, so if you feel this page can be improved or it is missing critical details, please get in touch.
