Pitch guidance

You’re a team that represents a content marketing agency, targeting the higher ed sector.

Your mission is to pitch to your client your ideas and services to take their marketing to the next level.

On your tables, brainstorm and craft your pitch.

Each team will be assigned a different problem.

Pick one team lead and one designer (for visual aids.)

You have 20 mins to work on your 2-minute pitch.

Your pitch should include:

1/

An articulation of the problem, the opportunity it presents and how content marketing could be the solution.

You may want to frame your thinking by deciding:

  • What are the needs of the audience?

  • How they could align with the strengths of your client.

  • Why you, the agency, are ideal for leading this initiative.

2/

How the content initiative is delivered e.g. which channel and format, plus why?

Will you major in events, video, email, social media, podcasting, creator partnerships or a combination of all?

What shape will your initiative take?

Bring the execution alive for the group.

3/

Ideas on how to work closely with the university’s internal teams, including faculty, admissions, and students.

Your pitch will be judged on its:

  • Overall concept

  • Remarkability

  • Creativity

  • Clarity
